E-commerce and courier shipping insurance

For online stores and marketplace sellers: cover every order from your warehouse to the customer's door, and your stock on its way to fulfilment centres — without per-parcel checkout markups on every sale.

Two ways to cover parcels

Per-parcel 'shipping insurance' sold at checkout is priced per order and runs on the carrier's terms. A cargo policy covers shipments under ICC (A) with warehouse-to-warehouse scope and your own claim. For a store shipping dozens of orders, the policy is the stronger and cheaper tool: freight vs cargo insurance.

What you can cover

How it works

  1. Upload the order invoice or transport document — or connect your store so cover issues automatically per order.
  2. Review the details and price; approve.
  3. Pay the licensed party directly; the certificate is issued instantly and claims start from your account.

What's usually excluded

Cash and negotiables, prohibited goods, used goods without prior approval, and loss caused by packaging the carrier rejected. Sanctions screening applies to every shipment.

How much to insure for

The selling value of the goods plus transport — the same CIF + 10% logic. Use the insured value calculator.

Questions

Is shipping insurance at checkout enough?

For a low-value parcel, possibly. For a business shipping regularly, a cargo policy with ICC (A) cover, warehouse-to-warehouse scope and your own claims process is stronger and usually cheaper per shipment.

What if the courier denies liability?

Courier terms cap and exclude heavily. Your cargo policy answers regardless of the carrier's position — the insurer manages recovery separately.

Can I connect my store?

An API connection and bulk order upload are on the platform's roadmap for launch. Register interest and you'll be contacted when it's live.
